SABBATICAL | Dawn Hyde

Downtown Church, 
The Session of Downtown Church has granted me a Sabbatical this summer from June 1 - September 1, 2026. 

What is a Sabbatical?
A sabbatical is an extended sabbath. These times of renewal and spiritual rest are commonly observed in the Presbyterian Church (USA) for pastors who stay seven years or more. I will step away from day to day pastoral and administrative work to rest. 

What does this mean for the church? 
You will be in good hands. Worship will stay fresh this summer with Pastor Charles Weathers taking the lead preaching and guest appearances from Rev. Rachel Fitch, Rev. Lucas Jones, Rev. Gail Henderson-Belsito, Rev. Dr. Mary Nickel, and Rev. Dr. Justin Nickel.
