SERMON | Wrestling Toward Reconciliation

We can’t fight all our demons in private. We have to engage one another. Even when that means “wrestling” with each other. Giving and taking. We have to engage one another. NOT violent wrestling, but the back and forth of conversation. Listening and speaking the truth is required to move toward reconciliation.

SERMON | Pentecost People

We still live in a world where most people would duck away from someone too different from themselves. We neglect to smile or wave “hello.” We still live in a world where learning another language feels impossible, like a challenge too great to bear. We live in that reality, but God invites us, Pentecost people, to imagine a new way.

SERMON | Is it Time, Yet?

We don’t completely believe that God will provide for our every need as will be in the kingdom. For experience tells us, as it told the disciples, that the kingdom is not coming tomorrow. So we still have to work today. We have to go through the motions, we have to invest love in each other, especially into the children, for hopefully they will see the justice arch bend a few degrees more.
