WHO WE ARE
Core Values: Faith formation, Belonging, Curiosity
DOWNTOWN YOUTH are active. They are athletes, actors, leaders, scouts, students, and so much more. Most importantly, they are beloved children of God who have gifts to share with the world.
During worship the YOUTH aren’t separated off. When we do gather together, we strive for authenticity. Whether it’s serving at the homeless shelter, spending an afternoon recreating in God’s creation, or repairing a wheelchair ramp of one of our neighbors, the YOUTH of this church have so much to offer, teach, and give.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middles on Wednesdays
This semester we will dive into the questions Jesus asked in Scripture and the stories around them, discovering how these same questions speak to our faith and daily lives today.
Fall 2026

HIGH SCHOOL
Once or twice-ish a month our high schoolers will gather at coffee shops around Columbia for Bible study. This semester we'll look at the stories of seven different people in the Bible and talk about what their struggles, mistakes, and faith can teach us about our own lives.

Who: Middle + High Schoolers

Where: Church (2030 Gregg St)
What: Meet at Downtown Church (2030 Gregg St.) at
5 PM and we’ll walk over together. Pick up at Downtown Church at 7:30 PM.
We will cover the cost of tickets for the game, but please plan to bring money for food and snacks. :)

9.20 Chill Youth Night
Who: MS + HS
When: 5-7pm at the church
What: Join us for pizza, games, crafts, Bible study, and help pack care packages for our college freshman.

9.25 - 9.27 Fall Retreat at Camp Illahee
Who: High School
When: We will leave after school on Friday and return Sunday afternoon.
Our former Associate Pastor, Lucas Jones, is kind enough to host us at Camp Illahee for a weekend of sabbath (rest) in the mountains.

Who: Middle + High Schoolers
Where + When: Meet us at Homeless No More (1629 McFadden St.) at 3:30 PM.
What: This event is part of the Week of Service. The Youth will work together to decorate our Advisor’s cars and pass out candy together.

What: Anything but a Bowl Cereal Friendsgiving
Who doesn’t love cereal for dinner? Bring your own bowl, except it can’t be an actual bowl.

1. Youth may not bring a bowl
2. Youth must bring a vessel and it must hold cereal and milk.
