MORNING WORSHIP ONE

Responsive Reading
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to my cry.
If you, O Lord, should take count of my flaws, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with you, for this we admire you.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in God’s word I hope;
My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning,
More than those who watch for the morning.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
He who keeps Israel, will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep, your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forevermore.

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Silent Reflection

Prayer for All People
God,
You promise to watch over us.
We pray for those who are sick…
For those suffering with addiction…
For those suffering violated trust and crossed boundaries…
Lord, hear our prayer.
You promise us a new way, a new and full life.
We pray for the growth that comes when we rest.
We pray for the healing needed within each of us and within this broken world.
We pray for you to overcome the evil we see.
We pray for your kingdom to come now.
Amen.
