DJ Bobby Sweatt in worship

Have you ever been to a church that utilized a real live DJ with legitimate turntables to mix music before and after worship? Me neither.

This coming Sunday DJ Bobby Sweatt, a.k.a. Duncan Myers in daylight, will provide music for the pre-worship and post worship gathering time. I wish I knew how this will turn out, but that would take most of the fun out of it. Duncan has been curating his playlist for the last 3 weeks as he didn’t have a “church mix” on standby. It’s a tough assignment, but you’re not a real DJ until you mix a worship service, right?

His stage name might lead you to believe he's less than capable of leading worship. Trust me though, DJ Bobby Sweatt looks much more like the PhD candidate in community psychology he is then a DJ. But don't let the smooth taste fool you. Duncan can slide from jazz to 80s pop anthems without missing a beat (pun intended). See you Sunday.
