I’ve often wondered why most worship songs leave little room for searching. The writer allows himself to question God, but only long enough to end each song wrapped in a bow, claiming that we always believe God will pull us out of our troubles. God always saves us, but I think we doubt more often than we sing about it.
My God, My God is a reflection on moments of doubt and hardship in my faith. Some of the songs are hopeful and end hopeful, and some of them are searching and end with more searching. God is always there to bless our troubled souls, but sometimes I forget to reach for Him.
This CD is a reminder of how a woman of little faith can be loved by God unceasingly.
