worship from your couch

We are relying on our scrappiness and creativity to adapt our worship to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation.

Our goal in the coming weeks is to care for you, worship with you, and embody our values of being open, integrated, curious, playful, and unfinished.

Here are things you can expect from us on Sunday mornings:

  • A simple liturgy to follow from your couch

  • DTC Style Music

  • Sermon

  • DTK Zoom call with Trina + a written lesson

  • Artwork for your home screen or your wall

By Sunday morning, all of this will be available to you here on our website.

This Sunday, March 22, 2020, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. You may want to look through your pantry or make one more visit to a store to find some bread and juice. Don't worry, God's not gonna look down on your flour tortilla or english muffin substitute.

We want to connect with one another and share laughter, hope, and community, so, we invite you to take a picture of yourself or family sharing communion and post it to social media with the hashtag #DOWNTOWNcommunion.

In this time of social distancing, loneliness and isolation can become overwhelming. So can parenting with your new "colleagues" ages 0 and 14. We've set up worship such that you can access it at anytime. You can also set up the DTK lesson on a separate device to allow your whole family to worship at the same time. Experiment with us and embody the liturgy of our worship, grace for yourself and others is key.

Let's stay connected. Take a minute to fill out the More About You  form on our website. Be sure we know your current phone number and email. Indicate if you want a call from someone with the DOWNTOWN CHURCH community.

God has a habit of making all things new.

Peace be,
Dawn
