BLOG | Rapid Housing Partnership

We've spent all but a few hundred dollars of the money from our flood relief fund! We are in the process of sponsoring three families for rapid rehousing, rental assistance for three months and case management support for six months, with Homeless No More. Homeless No More is a 501(c)(3) that works to support homeless and at-risk families through services and environments that help maximize their potential and move them toward independent living. This is the parent organization of St. Lawrence Place, that is taking over the efforts of Trinity Housing Corporation.

Why did we decide to partner with Homeless No More?

Once we reached the maximum support level of the two families we identified and partnered with, we knew we wanted to spend the remaining money to directly impact a few more families. Homeless No More had a rapid rehousing program already in place and we felt supportive of their work.

What can we expect to happen next?

Now that we've expanded our partnership, you can expect to hear about the three families we will be sponsoring in rapid rehousing. Through the rapid rehousing program, families impacted by the flood who are on the brink of homelessness will receive rental assistance for up to three months and case management services for up to six months. There may be opportunities for church members to help these families in various ways. At the end of six months, we will share a final blog post of all of the flood relief work.
